Learn How To Make Banana Stem Chutney With Chef Lakshmi Only On Variety Vantalu.
Banana stem is high in fiber & like the fruit is a good source of Potassium & Vitamin B6. It also maintains fluid balance in our body & has cooling properties. Many reasons to include them in your diet.

Ingredients:
Banana Stem 4 inch long --2
Yogurt -- 2 cups
Green Chiles --- 3 ( chopped)
Salt to taste
Dry Red Chillies -- 2
Fenugreek Seeds-- 1/4 tsp
Mustard Seeds -- 1/2 tsp
Ghee -- 1/2 tbsp
Method:
1. In a bowl, take some curd and make it as buttermilk.
2. Remove the thread like portion from the banana stems and chop finely.
3. Soak that pieces in the buttermilk, otherwise, it will turn black.
4. After some time, remove that pieces in another bowl.
5. Next, prepare for tempering. Add1 tbsp ghee in a pan and heat it.
6. Once it is heated, add mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds and saute it well.
7. Next add dry red chilies, curry leaves, green chilies and saute it well.
8. Once tempering ready, add banana steam pieces and saute it well. Fry for a couple of minutes
9. Mix well. Stir-fry for 3 to 5 minutes.
10. Lastly, add curd and mix it well.
Serve hot with rice or chapathi.
