Prague’s lamplighter draws crowds of tourists

Every day since the end of November, Jan Zakovec and his colleague have been lighting historic gas lamps on Prague’s picturesque Charles Bridge, becoming an attraction for tourists in the Czech capital. Zakovec, the head of the Prague Gas Museum and vice-president of the Czech Lamplighters’ Guild, became a lamplighter fifteen years ago.
