Netflix Original Bright Trailer Reaction
Netflix has seemed to step up their game. I know I know Stranger Things Season 2 is coming but the second trailer for the Netflix Original Bright dropped today and it is classic Will Smith saves the world and I think this is a good look initially. Think of it as Bad Boys meets Warcraft.
Plot Synopsis – In an alternate present-day where humans, orcs, elves, and fairies have been co-existing since the beginning of time, this action-thriller directed by David Ayer (Suicide Squad, End of Watch, writer of Training Day) follows two cops from very different backgrounds (Ward, a human played by Will Smith, and Jakoby, an Orc played by Joel Edgerton) who embark on a routine patrol night that will ultimately alter the future as their world knows it. Battling both their own personal differences as well as an onslaught of enemies, they must work together to protect a thought-to-be-forgotten relic, which in the wrong hands could destroy everything.
The soundtrack seems on point featuring Migos & Marshmello, Machine Gun Kelly, X Ambassadors & Bebe Rexha Lus new and exclusive music by: Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Ty Dolla $Ign, Kiiara, and Steve Aoki.
This mix of buddy cop and sci-fi seems to be Will Smith’s comfort zone. I can see from the trailer why this isn’t an in theater type of deal but for a Netflix Original Movie this should be banging on a Netflix and chill night this winter.
