Exteriors:\r
Baleno follows a liquid flow design and looks striking and imposing. At the front, it has smoked out headlamps housing projectors and with daytime running light. Coming to side profile, it comes with beautiful curves and window frames. It has large 16inch wheels and the A, B and C pillars are laid out with black. There is a chrome strip placed in between the windscreen and tailgate rendering it a distinctive look. Adding to its elegance is the rear spoiler, which is integrated with a high mount third brake light. \r

Interiors:\r
The dashboard of Baleno comes with the black scheme with silver and chrome accents. The three spoke steering wheel with multi-functional switches mounted on it. It has touchscreen audio unit infotainment system placed in the center fascia with chrome surround. On the other hand, the top end trims of Baleno may have features like parking sensors, advanced SmartPlay infotainment system, power foldable mirrors, automatic climate control. In terms of safety, Maruti offers all the crucial facilities like ABS with EBD, dual airbags, immobilizer and a few security functions. At the rear, there is an enough legroom for three passengers. It gets a boot space of 339 litres. \r

Engine and Performance:\r
Baleno will offer both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol option will be 1.2-litre K-and DDiS DOHC Motors unit which produces maximum power of 83bhp and 115Nm of torque. While the diesel version will be a 1.3-litre DDiS190 unit with an output of 74bhp at 4000rpm and a torque output of 190Nm at 2000rpm. Baleno coupled with five-speed transmission. Coming to ride and handling, it absorbs bad surfaces and steering of Baleno is neither light nor heavy.\r

Verdict:\r
This upcoming hatchback is all set to arrive in the Indian market by the end of this month which is expected to be launched on October 26. It will compete to target other leading rivals like Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo and all new Ford Figo\r
