Doctor removes live gecko from man's ear

A bizarre video has emerged from China of a doctor who removed a live gecko from a man's ear.
The footage, which was filmed in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province on August 15, shows the doctor who removed the lizard putting the reptile in a plastic bag.
According to local reports, the patient went to hospital after he woke up and felt something moving around in his ear.
To avoid the gecko crawling further into the patient's ear, the doctor anaesthetized it and then used long pliers to remove it.
