The Olympics are headed stateside

For the first time since 2002, the Olympics are headed back to the United States. Los Angeles is looking to host either the 2024 or 2028 summer games. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has narrowed down its picks to Paris and LA for 2024. In a unanimous decision, they decided to award two ceremonies at once for the first time ever. The official decision will be ratified in September, but it is a near guarantee that the cities have both secured a slot. The president is also on board. Although hosting spectators and the world's top athletes can lead to massive debt, both cities argue that they already have 90% of the infrastructure in place.
