Japan doctors union head warns of ‘disaster’ if Olympics go ahead

The head of the Japan Doctors Union calls for an outright cancellation of the Olympics, warning that a new variant strain could be caused by the event. Several parts of Japan are currently under a state of emergency over a surge in infections, and the public is largely opposed to holding the Games this summer in Tokyo.
