According to authorities, Marissa Ashley Mowry, then 22, and the unnamed child began to have intercourse in January of 2014, and, soon after, the woman became pregnant.
She reportedly gave birth in October of that year, notes Tampa Bay Times.
Area deputies say that Mowry continued to have sex with the boy until he was 14 and that the abuse occurred at a home in Hillsborough County, according to WTSP.
Records indicate Mowry was arrested on Tuesday outside of Busch Gardens, where she is employed as a food worker.
According to WFLA, "She was originally charged with sexual battery on an 11-year-old child. [She] was charged Wednesday with three counts of sex assault by 18 years of age sex battery victim under 12 years of age, and 11 counts of sex assault by custodian sex battery victim 12 years of age and under 18 years of age."
Mowry's child, now 3, has been transferred to the care of a “responsible adult.”
