A new study found that a little exercise can go the extra mile for aging adults. According to the study, physical activity can alleviate arthritis, including joint pain and stiffness related to arthritis. Researchers stated that older adults need to stay active if they want to be functionally independent. The team involved over 1,600 adults at or older than 49 years of age who had arthritic pain or stiffness in their hips, knees, or feet. Their results found that those who exercised at least 45 minutes a day improved or sustained their maneuverability. The study was conducted at Northwestern University.
