Fog causes 27-car pileup in east China

A heavy fog over a section of highway in Suzhou City, east China's Anhui Province, caused a traffic accident involving 27 vehicles on Sunday morning.
Altogether 15 people got injured in the accident, according to rescuers.
The accident occurred at around 08:20. Eighteen firefighters and three fire engines were sent to the spot to perform rescue.
Among the injured, two people trapped in the pileup were pulled out after half an hour of rescue effort and rushed to hospital.
The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
