00:41laureate in this category is Professor Dr Joy Jacqueline Pereira.

00:47In the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement, Emeritus Professor Dr Jomo Kwamesundaram

00:55is our Merdeka Award recipient.

00:58I am pleased to announce the Health, Science and Technology Merdeka Award laureate of 2024

01:06is Tan Sri Datuk Dr Abubakar Sulaiman.

01:10The Outstanding Contribution to the People of Malaysia category this year's laureate

01:16is Dr Catherine Ann Rivai.

01:20And finally, we have a special category this year called the Anugrah Harapan Merdeka.

01:29This is to recognise distinctive efforts of Malaysians aged 40 years and below or organisations

01:36which have been inspected for less than 10 years.

01:40In the area of education and community, the 2024 Anugrah Harapan Merdeka laureate is

01:48Ian Yee Ngan Fui.

02:10And finally, we have a special category this year called the International Scholarship

02:16Merdeka.

02:18This is to recognise the contribution of Malaysians aged 40 years and below or organisations

02:24which have been inspected for less than 10 years or organisations which have been inspected

02:30for less than 10 years.
