Russian president Vladimir Putin has said Donald Trump’s business success is evidence the US president-elect is a “smart man”. In an interview with state-controlled NTV, he said the US president-elect "is already a statesman". last week Putin said he hopes Trump will help to mend relations between Russia and the U.S.
