Illegal mining in Peru feeds the high demand for gold in the international market which has created areas in the country, without any state presence, military or police. in Las Palmas, in the amazon, different mafias have imposed their will and run prostitution rings, where girls as young as 11 are kidnapped and forced to have sex.
