Michael Jordan makes $5 million donation to national African American museum

Basketball legend Michael Jordan is engaging in a lot of philanthropy this summer after announcing a $5 million donation to the National Museum of African American History and Culture. President Obama will help open the museum on September 24th. Jordan's donation pushes private donations to the museum to $278 million. With federal aid, that number balloons to more than $548 million.
