How Great Thou Art.

Lyricist Carl Boberg (1859 – 1940) was a Swedish poet, writer and legislator best known for writing the original Swedish lyrics of "O Store Gud" (O great God) the hymn known universally in English by its common title "How Great Thou Art", after the poem became matched to an old Swedish folk tune.
Born in Mönsterås Sweden, Boberg was a carpenter’s son who worked briefly as a sailor and then served as a lay minister. He published more than 60 poems, hymns and gospel songs. It is "How Great Thou Art", one of the most recorded hymns ever, which has preserved Carl Boberg’s name in history. It was ranked second (after "Amazing Grace") on a list of the favorite hymns of all time in a survey by "Christianity Today" in 2001.
I thought it might be appropriate to include this hymn here, bearing in mind the location.

This video was made on a D-type Wurlitzer, believed to be the first one to be imported into the UK in 1925. After being used in the "Picture House" Walsall for several years, it was then installed in the Congregational Church at Beer, a delightful little fishing village situated in South Devon UK, where it still remains. http://www.beer-congregational-church.org.uk
