Heino Gaze (1908 - 1967) was a German composer and lyricist.
The son of a lawyer he studied law in the 1920's/1930's and, following graduation, subsidised his income by playing piano in bars.
After the war he moved to Berlin and in 1945 took over as musical director in Berlin cabaret clubs. He also worked as house composer in some of these by writing Revues.
Since then he worked as a freelance composer/arranger, and wrote much music for films.

This video was made on a D-type Wurlitzer, believed to be the first one to be imported into the UK in 1925. After being used in the "Picture House" Walsall for several years, it was then installed in the Congregational Church at Beer, a delightful little fishing village situated in South Devon UK, where it still remains. http://www.beer-congregational-church.org.uk
