A group of ancient animals in China has been thoroughly cataloged for the first time and it now appears they share similarities with related animals on other continents, according to research from the University of Bristol.

A group of ancient animals in China have been thoroughly cataloged for the first time and it now appears they share similarities with related animals on other continents, according to research from the University of Bristol. 
Pareiasaurs, sometimes referred to as being the "ugliest fossil reptiles," are also believed to have existed in Africa, Europe, and South America.
The similarities suggest these creatures were able to travel around the world despite what researchers describe as their "lumbering movement."
