Charl Johnson and his wife Michelle Burger were awakened by the fear-filled screams of Reeva at about 3-02 am of the fateful day the latter was shot dead. A human male cannot mimic or reproduce the screams of a woman. The cries of jackals resemble the screams of women. This couple when testifying in court, mentioned that whenever they hear the cries of jackals at nights, they are reminded of the screams of Reeva. [They live at on the outskirts of Pretoria and closeby is the Farm Inn where wild animals, jackals included, are also housed.]
