Venezuela: Opposition Won't Sign On to Recognize Vote Results

Fears of election day violence resurfaced in Venezuela as the right-wing opposition rejected an agreement proposed by the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) election monitoring mission that called on all of the country's political parties to abide by the results announced by the National Electoral Council. In almost all previous elections, the opposition has charged fraud without providing evidence, propelling its supporters into street protests that have often turned violent.
