Syrian Army Breaks Siege on Kweyris Airport

New developments in Syria may have prompted a pause on a Turkey-United States Coalition invasion to oust Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Syria’s army broke a two-year Islamic State siege of the Kweyris military airport in the country’s north on Tuesday. It was a military training college and the most important base in the countryside east of Aleppo. Controlling the airport will cut off all supply routes between the east and the north of the country. Syrian analysts believe that this victory is key to making major advances in the struggle. Hazem Abdullah reports from Damascus for teeSUR.
