Ingredients : (Serves 2 big or 4 small portions)
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1 cup makhana
- 1 liter milk (preferably organic cow milk)
- 2 tbsp almonds (powdered)
- saffron
- cardamom powder
- 4 tbsp raw sugar

Method:
- In a wok or kadhai, heat the ghee and when it melts, roast the makhana for 4 to 5 minutes, until it is nicely and lightly browned on all sides.
- Make sure that the makhana does not turn black.
- Pour the milk and the powdered almonds, along with the saffron and allow it to come to a boil.
- Lower the heat and cook until the milk thickens.
- Turn off the heat and add the cardamom powder and sugar.
