Defence & Diplomacy: Mina Tragedy, Spirit of Sacrifice & Pak Armed Forces

The tragedy that struck at Mina where Pilgrims got crushed in a stampede during a Hajj ritual on September 24, 2015 was a result of impatience and indiscipline by Algerian Pilgrims. There is a need for pilgrims to familiarize themselves with the rules and regulations for performing various rituals before they proceed for Hajj.
The spirit of sacrifice and prophet Abraham and his son Ismail's enedeavour to sacrifice was discussed. The supreme sacrifice of Imam Hussain was discussed.
The Armed Forces of Pakistan are an epitome of sacrifice when they embrace martyrdom in the defence of their motherland.
