Amazon Still Expects to See an Operating Loss in 3Q15

Amazon could take another operating loss in the next quarter.
In the last few quarters, Amazon has showed signs that it is returning to profitability.
As the chart below shows, Amazon managed to bring in an operating income of $591 million in 4Q14, $255 million in 1Q15, and $464 million in 2Q15.
However, per the outlook provided by the company for 3Q15, or the September-ending quarter, Amazon could see operating income between -$480 million and $70 million.
If we consider the midpoint of this range, the company could see an operating loss of $205 million in this quarter.
