Guatemala: Perez Trial Could Take 1 Year, but Proof is Strong

Guatemalan President Otto Perez Molina tended his resignation last night and it is expected to be ratified by congress this afternoon. He is currently being arraigned on charges of fraud, illicit association, and corruption. Observers feel that the trial could last as long as a year, but investigators from the UN-sponsored International Commission against Community in Guatemala say the evidence against Perez Molina is strong and it would be difficult for him win in court. Jorge Gestoso reports from Guatemala City. teleSUR
