Cuba Becomes 1st Country to Eliminate Perinatal HIV Transmission

Cuba has become the first country in the world to eliminate mother-to-child HIV transmission during pregnancy, according to the World Health Organization. All health care in Cuba is free and expecting mothers have three medical checkups during their pregnancy, which includes blood tests.
