Argentina: Post-Electoral Violence Erupts in Tucuman

Almost two weeks after Argentina's primary elections, violent protests erupted in the city of Tucuman, where the ruling left-of-center Front for Victory scored a major victory. Police repressed the protests, and while the government criticized the behavior of law enforcement officials, cabinet chief Anibal Fernandez and others also condemned right-wing destabilization attempts that recall the script followed in the 2013 Ukraine demonstrations.
