Images doing rounds on the internet seems to indicate the upcoming Tata Kite is almost ready for launch. The hatchback was spied yesterday while it was going through tests under heavy camouflage. From the images it is clear that the design of the Kite has been heavily influenced by the Tata Zest and Tata Bolt since features like bug-shaped headlights, large ORVMs, honeycomb grille, large windscreen, and wrapped around taillights are seen in those cars as well.
On the inside, the car gets dual tone dash, multifunctional steering, rectangular AC vents and 2-DIN music system. The power source of the Kite would be a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol and a 1.05-liter three-cylinder diesel unit. The engines would be mated to either a 5-speed manual or an automatic manual transmission as both these options will be offered to customers.
Price of the car is expected to hover around the 3.5 to 4 lakh mark depending on the variant one is choosing to buy.
