After a series of spy shots, the new Toyota Prius has finally been revealed to the public. It just takes one look at the new Prius to know that the car has been inspired by the Toyota Mirai fuel-cell sedan, but it does retain the Prius’s traditional liftback shape which has been the hallmark of this car since its 2nd generation.

The new Toyota Prius uses the New Global Architecture design model of the company which allows the car to have a lower center of gravity, stronger passenger compartments and a new rear double-wishbone suspension. At the front, the new Prius carries forward the quintessential Toyota look, which now sees domination of LED lights
.
As far fuel-efficiency is concerned, the new Toyota Prius promises to keep the Prius flag flying high on that front. Toyota has announced that the new Prius will see a 10 percent increase in its mileage. The outgoing Prius had an EPA rating of 50MPG and the new Prius will improve on it and have a mileage of 55MPG.
