The American multinational corporation, Ford recently commenced production of Everest SUV, which will come to India as Endeavour at Auto Alliance Thailand plant.
That’s not all! In addition to AAT, the automaker will manufacture Everest at JMC Xiaolan Plant in China. Nonetheless, in India, the company will bring Endeavour as CKD and will be the one manufactured in Thailand.
Power for the Endeavour will come from a TDCi 2.2 liter, which is good for producing 160PS of power with 385 newton meters of torque. It will be paired with a manual as well as automatic transmission.
A test mule with Duratoq 3.2 liter powertrain has also been spotted testing on Indian roads. In this state of tune, the Endeavour generates 200PS of power with 470 newton meters. It will be equipped with six-speed auto and is likely to be the top-of-the-line version.
Ford has already launched the Everest in Thailand and has priced it starting Rs 24.27 lakh.
