The Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum launched its first Kickstarter campaign today. The museum will use the popular crowdfunding site to preserve, digitize and exhibit the spacesuit worn by Neil Armstrong during his famous moonwalk.
The National Air and Space Museum launched its first Kickstarter campaign today—asking denizens of the Internet to fork over $500,000 for the preservation, digitization and exhibition of Neil Armstrong’s Apollo 11 spacesuit.
The campaign boasts the hashtagged handle #RebootTheSuit and is the first in a year-long collaboration between the museum and Kickstarter.
