Peru: Coca Leaf Production Reduced to Lowest Level in 16 Years

Peru is no longer the world’s largest producer of coca leaves, having reduced production by 14 % to about 43,000 hectares, the lowest level in 16 years. The largest coca crop is now in Colombia, where the area cultivated shot up 44% last year to some 69,000 hectares. teleSUR
