New Corruption Scandal Emerges in Mexico

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto's government is facing another corruption scandal. Audio recordings indicate Transportation Minister Gerardo Ruiz Esparza turned over information on 2 highway projects to the Spanish-owned OHL construction firm before it was made public and OHL officials bribed him with paid vacations. In another recording in April, OHL executives discuss bribing judges to allow the company to inflate construction costs on state-sponsored highway projects.
