Sometimes, the change is not good, and Safari Storme stands evident to them. As said, the Storme was finished to make it visible from a new stable, but it stood dud on the sales floor against modern heavyweights of the segment. Now, for a second attempt in the facelift, it’s trimmed on onside as well as outside, as spotted in clear shots standing under the bright sunlight of summer.
From the front, Storme facelift is remarkable by front grille that received honeycomb mesh for itself and the chin. Nothing is changed on sides except for the absence of Varicor engine badge.
In cabin, the steering-wheel with mounted controls is straightly lifted off the Bolt or Zest just like the Harman system. However, dashboard offers new black theme with silver inserts putting up the show in a much better way. Yet, this India’s favourite SUV of a time misses out on touchscreen infotainment system. For the bay underneath hood, Storme facelift upheld a new 2.2-litre Varicor engine of Aria that will deliver output of 148bhp retaining same torque of 320Nm.
Hence, no words on the launch, keeping fingers crossed may let makers gain more sales this time from the makeover.
