US: State Dept. Recommends Removing Cuba from Terrorism List

In a major development and ahead of the 7th Summit of the Americas, the US State Department has recommended that the White House remove Cuba from its list of countries that support terrorism. The long-standing inclusion of Havana on the list without any credible evidence to support such a move, has been a major stumbling block in improving relations between the two countries and has posed financial, trade, and banking problems for Cuba. It is expected that President Barack Obama will accept the recommendation later today. Alexandra Hall reports from Washington. teleSUR
