Badbade Kasav is a Story narrated by Grandparents in Marathi. This is a story of a Tortoise who is very talkative. He always use to keep on talking and talking. One day he saw two cranes coming near the lake and drinking water. After drinking water they flew away. Looking at them the Tortoise also felt that he wanted to fly in the sky. So the next day when the cranes came near the lake to drink water, the tortoise said to them, that can you please help me fly with you. Cranes said you cannot fly, only we can fly. But still the tortoise insisted them to take him with them. Next day the Cranes came to lake with a stick in their mouth and said the Tortoise to hold this stick with his mouth. They also warned him not to open his mouth when they are flying to which the Tortoise agreed. The Cranes lifted the stick and started flying. Has soon as they went in the sky, the Tortoise saw lush green grass, lakes below and was so excited that he wanted to convey his feelings to Cranes. Has soon as he opens his mouth to speak the fells down into the lake. The moral of the story is "We should never speak too much"
