Argentina: debate continues on creation of federal law on culture

A debate on the creation of a federal law on culture was held at the National Library in Buenos Aires. Several cultural figures and representatives discussed some of the proposals contained in the proposed law, among them, 1% of the annual national budget being earmarked for culture; the creation of a federal council that includes cultural leaders and workers from every sector; and the establishment of the category of "cultural worker", to be applied to all those who make a living, directly or indirectly, from culture. teleSUR
