Footage of an incident involving a train and a Land Rover in Wales, UK has been posted to YouTube by the British Transport Police.
A terrifying near-miss between a train and a Land Rover unfolded in Wales, UK. Footage of it has been released by the British Transport Police.
While the train and SUV did make contact, the accident could have been far worse. Footage from the train shows it barreling down the tracks when suddenly the Land Rover came into view.
The SUV crossed over the tracks when the train was only feet away. There was no time to stop.
While the vehicle was clipped, the driver was fortunate to get mostly out of the way as the Land Rover was a split second away from being T-boned.
The driver of the SUV escaped injury, but was ordered to pay a fine of more than 750 dollars and an additional 130 dollars in court fees. The British Transport Police hope the video will highlight the dangers of crossing railroad tracks.
