ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

Residents of the impoverished Gaza Strip and West Bank were hit by fresh flooding on Saturday (November 1), as heavy rains continued to fall across the region.

Streets in Khan Younis had already been swamped with water on Friday.

Fifty days of war in one of the most densely populated parts of the world has left swathes of Gaza in ruins.

The Palestinian Ministry of Public Works and Housing has stated that Gaza needs 5,000 caravans or mobile homes for more than 130,000 displaced Gazans.

Thousands of displaced Palestinians moved into tented camps or caravans, which lack basic services, in the Gaza Strip after their homes were destroyed by Israeli assaults on the enclave.

Residents in the Jordan Valley also had to deal with damaging floods, following two consecutive days of downpours.

According to local weather reports, the heavy rain is expected to ease by Monday (November 3).
