iW's annual Watch Madness tournament concluded at the end of last week. 32 watches went head-to-head and thanks to YOU, the voters, one timepiece came out on top. Congratulations to ROGER DUBUIS with their winning model, the Hommage Flying Tourbillon!
The champion timepiece is limited to 208 pieces and was introduced at this year's Salon de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH). The dial is white lacquered with a pink gold ring and white lacquered flange. The case measures 45mm in diameter and a warm aesthetic is evoked with its use of pink gold.
The hand-wound mechanical movement is comprised of 293 parts, 28 of which jewels. It beats at a frequency of 3 Hz and boasts a 60-hour power reserve. The timepiece's functions include hours, minutes, instantaneous large date, power reserve indication and flying tourbillon.
Together with it's technology and use of fine materials, the Hommage Flying Tourbillon was a power-house throughout the competition.
Thanks to all of the Watch Madness 2014 participants for submitting their all-star timepieces and making this year's tournament not only a success, but a FIERCE competition!
