Dealing with immigration officials is typically not a pleasant thing…unless you’re in the Philippines. The Philippines Bureau of Immigration, or BI for short, has launched a new program to ensure travelers have positive memories of their interactions while visiting.

The campaign is called BI-Cares which stands for Bureau of Immigration Courtesy, Accountability, Responsibility, Efficiency, and Services.

To launch the campaign, immigration staffers who were dressed in their typical attire, donned huge smiles and gathered together for a flash mob at an airport showing exactly how hospitable they are.

The dance moves are pretty impressive and included synchronized arm swinging, clapping and even a few cartwheels for good measure. Immigration chief Siegfred Mison commented “We will ensure that our visitors feel Filipino hospitality the moment they set foot in Manila, and this BI-Care program will continue with the country’s hosting of future international events.”

The Bureau wants to improve its public image in a fun way, but staffers also have serious duties like preventing illegal comings and goings .
