English lesson - Groceries
Hello everyone! In this lesson, we will cover new vocabulary, but it will mostly serve as giving an insight of how things work in a grocery store in North America. Some might find resemblances with their own country, but from my experience, things can be a little different elsewhere.
Shopping cart/ basket: Container to carry your groceries
Do you need any bags?: Typical question asked in NA, especially with the green movement. People often bring their own bags so as to not let the plastic bags go to waste
On sale/promotion: To attract customers, groceries often have a wide variety of articles that are on sale/promotion. Which ones are on sale can be found in the flyer
Flyer: Piece of paper that indicates what items are on sale for a particular banner/store
