Hurricane Amanda has already broken one record by becoming the earliest Category 4 hurricane on record in the Eastern Pacific, and is now on the verge of becoming May's first ever Category 5 storm in the basin, too.
The hurricane remains out at sea, but is expected to turn northwards imminently and begin to weaken by tomorrow. The Mexican mainland will probably not feel adverse effects from the storm, though the Revillagigedo Islands may get struck by hurricane force winds.
