Microsoft is one of the pioneering companies that helped put a PC on every desktop, or at least get the world that much closer to the dream.
Co-founder Bill Gates first voiced this desire back in the 1960s and even though he is no longer running the company, it is his business genius which has ensured that Microsoft continues a key player in making the computer personable.
