Call of Duty 4 Charlie Don't Surf - Veteran difficulty

Tips: Always try to keep on the move, moving from 1 position to another. Be aware of your surroundings. If you move out in the open, try to plan in advance positions where you are going to run to next for cover, such as behind a wall, so if the enemy suddenly appears you have set places in your mind you can use for cover. Plan a few alternate cover positions in case you cant reach 1 in time. If you are behind a wall or other such cover, and you appear from it and snipe at the enemy, crawl back down and move to another position - that way you wont be predictably appearing up from the same position which would make you a much easier target. When firing any of the weapons (assault rifles, sub machine guns such as the mp5) at a distance, always try to fire single controlled shots (to avoid recoil which will just throw your aim off), just move the cross hair in a smooth motion covering any area where you think the enemy might appear. Also, before you zoom in with the scope on the m16, look where the enemy might be first, and then zoom in. Because if you zoom in first, and you haven't checked the general area out, you will be focused only on your scope and then an enemy could snipe you outside your field of view. On missions such as the TV station, you can easily shoot through the walls with any kind of weapon (since they are made of plaster board) The enemy also uses grenades to force you out from your position, and you end up forced out into the open into enemy fire. There's only 2 things you can do to try to survive, 1 is pick up the grenade and throw it back or if you cant then you have to choice to move out. If there was time you could throw a flash bang in their general area then quickly move out. It would give you time to find a new safe position. You can see on veteran the enemy does this a lot. Also it's easy to forget that there are enemies on the second floor balcony, because you are trying to deal with the ones in front of you on the ground floor. This is one of the most difficult things to deal with on this part.

Basically moving around them from the side is the best approach and moving fast and hitting them hard. Having flash bangs and grenades is handy at this point. Try to choose a good weapon combination. Your primary weapon should mostly be the M4A1 Grenadier or M4A1, and depending on the mission use the sniper rifle in an open area or have the AK-47. You can also use up a weapon like the M249 SAW (Squad automatic weapons), then deplete all the ammo then collect the sniper rifle as your secondary weapon. Always try to have both fully loaded, then when there's much action going on, you can use up all the ammo in one then quickly switch to your secondary weapon, instead of having to reload.
