Those specializing in illegal drug transport have proved to be quite creative. Recently U.S. Customs and Border Protection confiscated over 250 pounds of marijuana after the massive load seemingly fell from the sky.

Numerous bundles of cannabis had been intricately packaged together and attached to a metal cage. The illegal cargo had been intentionally dropped in a large field near Brown Field Airport in San Diego which is located about 2 miles from the Mexico border, as part of a drug delivery.

Once federal agents saw the cage and marijuana, a manhunt ensued to find the suspects. Border Patrol's Office of Air and Marine witnessed the plane that the marijuana dropped from and began tracking it.

Eventually, they were able to catch up with the alleged culprits. Two men were taken into custody, one of whom was a 32-year-old immigrant.

The total value of the vast amount of marijuana was said to be approximately $157,000. Since the incident, authorities are urging members of the public to report all suspicious air activity.
