Hard riffs, displosing drums, thounderous baselines, a throaty voice and great tunes are the components which garantee that hardly any musicloving person would sit still for long. MIDRIFF are playing hard american Rock, coming with a powerfull ballad from time to time, not only garanteeing a severe headbanging but also a fantastic sing along.
As a liveband this powerful trio with an extraordinary roleplay -- the singer is sitting behind the drums -- they assure an energy-loaded and stonishing stage-performance. The first proof of life coming from singer/drummer Paul and the two brothers Jeremy and Joshua, all coming from the small village Langkampfen, Tirol (AUT), in April 2010, when they released their first, completely homeproduced EP "Grassman's Cottage" containing five songs. The feedback from several journals that "Grassman´s Cottage" gained was allover good. Plenty of concerts in the west of Austria followed, which provoked the guys to work on their first music video on the song "Pumping Iron", which was released in December 2011, staring "Austria's strongest Man" Martin Wildauer.
However, as hard as it can get, when those three are starting rocking the stage, they may as well be quiet and calm. This they have allready proofen in many unplugged gigs. A lot of their riffs are originally made on acoustic guitars anyways, so it's only logical to set the stage on fi re in a smooth way, by performing the songs unplugged. In December 2012, the third outcome of MIDRIFF´s studio-efforts is going to be released. The CD is named BLACKOUT, and is hosting six of the guy's favourite songs out of their past musical history. All those songs have been recorded live, simply played on two acustic guitars, a cajon and Pauls singing, at home in their studio. Unplugged, raw and back to the roots!
