Mother Pleads Guilty to Burning Son's Nipples

Christine Gelineau finally came to an agreement with prosecutors after she was accused of beating her 18-year-old and subjecting him to various forms of abuse. She reportedly burned her teenage son’s penis with a lighter causing permanent nerve damage and burned the boy’s nipples entirely off.

Gelineau pleaded guilty to the charges of first-degree assault and witness tampering. A friend of the victim’s mother, 20-year-old Daniel Tyler Cantrell has a trial scheduled next month for several charges in the case.
He is accused of twisting the boy’s ankle before breaking it and forcing him to eat feces. During the first police interview, the victim along with Cantrell were interviewed together and the 18-year-old claimed his injuries were self inflicted.
Prosecutors believed the victim maintained that story for the most part, terrified of what would happen if he told the truth. The prosecutor spoke of the victim’s mindset stating “We’re looking at some pretty serious assaults. We’re alleging that there was witness tampering and a lot of fear involved in this, and we believe he really didn’t have any other options.”
The motive for the torture was not released.
