FNU Organized Tryouts for Its Inaugural Men's Basketball Team

Saturday, June 29 Coach Scott Schmidt held extensive try outs with respect to Florida National University's Men's Basketball Team inside Bucky Dent Gym. Florida National University (FNU) will be utilizing Bucky Dent Gym as its home court facility throughout the team's inaugural period. Coach Schmidt was very happy with the turnout of 45 players. Based on the large turnout, Schmidt feels FNU ought to be poised to have an excellent first year.

Following the 1st hour of tryouts, Coach Schmidt cut the 45 to 18 players in order to better assess the individual skill he felt would be the best fit for the success of the team. From there, 12 made the final cut. Schmidt mixed and matched lineups to see how the players' best managed different scenarios.
