Masters Behind the Music_ Dexter Wansel
Dexter had the opportunity to work with several artists on PIR from the mid 1970s, such as Phyllis Hyman, The Jacksons, MFSB, Teddy Pendergrass, Patti Labelle, and Lou Rawls amongst many others. He worked extensively with the late Grover Washington Jr from the late 1970s until his death,
He also co-wrote with Cynthia Biggs The Jones Girls classic 1981 record "Nights over Egypt" and also Patti Labelle's 1984 R&B number one hit, "If Only You Knew", Wansel is also the father of Grammy-nominated music producer and songwriter Pop Wansel.
Wansel recently conducted stringles and horns arrangements on the new "Sparkle" soundtrack with his son Pop Wansel.
