Rebecca "Bec" June Hewitt (née Cartwright) (born July 23, 1983 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian actress.
Rebecca starred in an episode of Police Rescue in 1992, at the age of 9. She came to prominence when she joined the cast of the Seven Network's soap opera Home and Away in 1998, playing Hayley Smith Lawson and remained on the show until August 2005. Although she left the show, her character did not and Ella Scott Lynch took over the role of Hayley.
In 1999 Rebecca was nominated for a Silver Logie for Most Popular New Talent.
She released an album in 2003 and three singles.
She won the first series of the Australian series Dancing with the Stars in 2004.
She won the Logie for Most Popular Actress in 2005, an award for which she was also nominated in 2006 along with the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality.
In November 2006, she returned to TV for Abba Mania. Many Australian artists participated in this programme, and the show was broadcast on Channel Nine.
After leaving Home and Away in 2005, Rebecca now writes a column for the magazine Woman's Day.
She is reportedly coming out with a clothes line for children called "Bec Kidz".
